Mckaley's first haircut
On Friday we took Mckaley to get her 1st haircut. She was such a good girl! We took her to a shop in downtown Danville called Shear Adventures. It was such a cute shop. It had a jungle theme with animals on the walls and the
kids got to sit in tractor seats while getting their hair cut. Mckaley was pretty excited to sit in her seat and when she got in was as still as could be. She let the hairdresser pretty much do whatever she wanted. I think she cut it a little too short, but she still looks cute anyways :) When she was all done the hairdresser gave her a certificate for getting her first haircut. As evident in the picture, I think I was more excited about her first haircut than she was. Mckaley looked like she could care less holding her certificate. It could also be because I made her pose in a candy

Christmas slideshow part 1
Here are our Christmas memories from AZ. I'll put another one up after our trip to CA!
It's Christmas time!
Mckaley has really gotten into Christmas this year. It has been so much fun to look at lights, wrap presents, and decorate cookies with her. She is always asking to see Santa and if its time to get her presents for being a nice girl. Here are some things we have done this month in preparation for the big day:
1. Decorated our Christmas tree in our new house.
2. Helped mom pick out presents and wrap them for a family in need in Mesa. Mckaley gave a nine month old Britney a new coloring set, a brand new jacket and two pairs of pants that were hers, with the tags still on. She was so happy giving them to her!
3. Went to look at all the Christmas lights in our neighborhood along with a really decorated lane in Gilbert.
4. Went to see Santa. Mckaley talked about this for about two weeks and I finally took her with Marcia, Abbey, and Abbey's friends Allison. She totally freaked and cried the whole time :( but when you ask her about it now she says she "likes Santa and that she sat on his lap and told him that she wanted pink cheese and a kitchen for Christmas". Two year olds!!
5. Did Christmas crafts with mom including making a Christmas wreath with cutouts of my hands and decorated Christmas bags with stickers.
6. Decorated cookies with Marcia, Abbey, and Dave while mom and dad did some power shopping.
7. Brought a small present to my Rolly Pollies teacher and gave her a BIG hug.
8. Coming soon: ZooLights with the Smiths and a trip to CA for the big day! We can't wait to see everyone out there and celebrate Christmas!

Mckaley's 2nd Birthday Party

Mckaley just turned two on November 28th. We decided to have a small party at our new house to celebrate. It was a butterfly theme and Mckaley had a great time! She particularly loved her new tricycle, the cash register, and getting to eat as many M&M's as she could. We had the Hamrocks, the Herr's, the Watsons and the Sarfates over to celebrate. We ate pizza, opened presents, and the kids got to decorate cakes. It was a great evening. Mckaley had so much fun that while going to bed, Tyler and I overheard her singing "Happy Birthday to Me" as she fell asleep in her crib. Too cute!

Schnepp's Farm
Tyler, Mckaley and I took our first trip to Schnepp's Farm with the Watson's. Schnepp's Farm is like a pumpkin patch, only much larger and with so much more to do. There is a corn maze, rides for the children, trains, a live band, a chili dinner, pony rides, and much more. Thankfully, Jenna brought along her camera (my new favorite toy-hint, hint Tyler) and so we have some pictures of it.
We've taken the plunge
After much debate, The Herr Family has just decided to start blogging. We are not really sure how it works, or what to do, but here is goes. Enjoy!
